The Moon Who Forgot How to Shine

Ages 3-7English

A gentle bedtime tale about kindness, courage, and finding your light again.

Once upon a time, high above the sleeping rooftops, the Moon woke up and could not remember how to shine. She drifted across the velvet sky, pale as paper, until a small Owl with feathers like cinnamon flew up to meet her. "Moon," whispered Owl, "the children below need your light. Without you, the dreams cannot find their way home."

The Moon sighed a silvery sigh. "I have forgotten the secret," she said. So Owl took her on a quiet journey. They visited the dewdrops, who showed her how to hold the smallest pieces of starlight. They visited the fireflies, who taught her how to be brave even when you feel very small. And finally they visited a little girl named Wren, tucked in bed.
